MITIE, called in the our expertise as UK market leaders in bird control, to carry out pigeon proofing job for Hugh Christie Technology College, Tonbridge, Kent.
The school of approximately 1100 students aged 11 to 18 were having problems with pigeons roostng at the reception and creating an awful mess. The area was covered in so much guano (bird droppings) that the Caretaker had to clean the walkway everyday. Dave Green, area manager of our Medway and Dartford branches installed a canopy of pigeon netting at the entrance that has successfully prevented the pigeons perching on the school.
