Foxes have adapted well to life in towns over the last 50 years or so and are a huge pest all year round to urban and agricultural areas. Foxes are now found in countries and cities in the UK, they prosper in cities because they find plentiful food and shelter in gardens, yards and other open spaces. Their diet is varied and will include insects and grubs, slugs, worms, small rodents, and anything that they can raid from rubbish bins. Fox control is needed as foxes spread diseases such as Toxocariasis, Weil's disease (Leptospirosis), Hydatid disease and Sarcoptic Mange.
