NBC’s Proven Quality Management and Environmental Systems

Enersys, provider of stored energy solutions for industrial applications, take their responsibility for their staffs’ personnel safety very seriously.  Concerned with the growing number of gulls on the roof of the Newport site, NBC Bird & Pest Solutions Area Manager for South Wales, John Dowling was called in to help remove the hazards to staff and contractors accessing rooftop plant.

A nest and egg removal programme was implemented as the solution to the nuisance gull population, followed by a two week intensive falconry program and six weeks of maintenance visits to ensure the gulls did not return.

This long term project will enable Enersys to maintain their target of zero accidents and ensure the safety of employees on the site.
