Ground Nesting Birds - Bird Scaring
10th February 2010
Increasingly construction projects working on greenfield, demonlition and remediation sites are being affected by bird populations - such as skylarks and lapwings - nesting for up to 5 months.
Ground nesting birds are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act. The act states that these birds cannot be disturbed during their nesting period between March and July. These ground nesting birds although behaving naturally cause distruption to building or redevelopment schedules resulting in costly delays for construction and demolition companies.
However, NBC Bird & Pest Solutions is able to provide bird control services using techniques proven to be successful (such as falconry response) to move the birds away from sites without harming the birds. NBC Bird and Pest Solcutions proofing and bird deterrent programmes ensure that birds are unable to return allwoign our customers work to continue unaffected.
