NBC Comes to the Rescue in Rugby
9th April 2009

NBC Bird and Pest Controls area manager for Coventry and Warwickshire, Jon Bailey came to the rescue of Rugby Borough Council when a flock of pigeons occupied the multi storey car park in the town centre.
The car parks lighting system become the ideal home for the pigeons, providing a warm and secure ledge to perch. The resulting pigeon droppings caused a great deal of mess in the car park, making it an unappealing place to leave a car.
Rugby Borough Council called in NBC to remove the bird droppings and once the area had been cleaned and sanitised, bird proofing was installed to deter the birds. Pigeon spikes where fitted to the lights to prevent the birds from returning and to ensure that the car park remains clean and bird free.
