NBC at your Service – Interserve
Allerton Grange School in Moortown, Leeds is a state-of-the-art state school built through the Leeds Local Education Partnership (LEP) consisting of Education Leeds, Leeds City Council and Interserve.
Almost one year after the opening of the new school facilities a flock of feral pigeons began roosting and nesting in the balcony areas used by the sixth form.
Interserve who arrange the maintenance for school contacted NBC Bird and Pest Solutions Area Manager for Leeds, Neil Westwood for advice and a long term solution to keep the modern structure free from pigeons and bird droppings.
After inspecting the school, Neil advised on installing bird netting to the balconies and fire escape stairwells to prevent the birds from retuning and keep the building pigeon free.
