News - Paul's Flying Start in Rossendale
The Pupils of the Northern Primary, Bacup
Paul Holton has become the local hero in Rossendale putting on many falconry displays in the area, to inform them about how this countryside pursuit can be used as a method of bird control.
Back in August Paul, Area Manager for NBC Bird and Pest Solutions' Bolton and Oldham branch flew his birds of prey for Deerview Farm Shop, Rossendale as part of an agricultural show, youngsters in the area were also invited to comb highland cattle, race sheep and drive the pigs.
Paul said: "It was a successful weekend and I was asked lots of questions about the bird, what they do and what NBC do."
Another demonstration was put together for pupils for The Northern Primary, Bacup, after school club, as well as a question and answer session for the children.
Paul has not only become a local hero but also a celebrity as his antics have made the local papers such as the Rossendale Free Press.
