ABB Employee with NBCs Rolf, the Harris Hawk
NBC Bird and Pest Solutions has been called in to assist one of the worlds leading engineering companies, ABB.
Robin Mason, Maintenance Team Leader of ABB's Gloucester branch said: 'We had a terrible gull problem, with them eating roof fabric, dive bombing staff and generally being aggressive.'
Neil Curtis, Area Manager of the NBC branches at Gloucester, Birmingham and Swindon, introduced Robin to NBC, a unique pest control and bird control company that specialises in using the ancient art of falconry as a natural deterrent of pesky birds.
Robin adds: 'Since NBC started the falconry programme on site I have seen a significant difference in the number of gulls that used to populate outside ABB. The flock has decreased by 50% and the remaining gulls are less aggressive.'
ABB was also impressed by NBC's green credentials. Robin said: 'I chose NBC to supply our bird control services because they use a natural and humane way to combat bird problems.' Robin also mentioned that he and everyone at ABB and are, 'Very pleased with the work NBC has carried out.' So much so that Neil and his Harris Hawk, Rolf, were invited to an open day at the centre.
