Tunnel Vision: NBC Provides Bird Proofing Solutions for Eurotunnel

Workers at Eurotunnel were being plagued by pigeons constantly flying in through their workshop roller doors and disturbing the work schedule.

Dave Green, area manager with NBC Bird and Pest Control was called upon to provide a bespoke solution to their problem.

The answer was to construct six sliding net doors fitted on to aluminium tracks which would enable the bird proofing to be easily manoeuvred to allow vehicle access but prevent pigeon’s entering the workshops when the roller doors are open.

NBC Bird & Pest Control has also carried out guano removal and a full bio-clean at the Euro tunnel site.
