NBC Has Its Eye On New Product.

Mark Hudson, Area Manager for the Liverpool and Cheshire branch of NBC Bird and Pest Solutions, was approached by Network, a specialist in bird control products to help them test and trail a new bird scaring device called ‘Eagle Eye'.

The Eagle Eye is a effective bird deterrent device that harmlessly relocates birds. Birds are irritated by reflected light beams that flash at various angles from a rotating Eagle Eye unit.

Eagle Eye is a product that is used a lot in South Africa, Australia & USA, it is basically a non lethal product that uses light reflected from the sun to irritate birds. The unit revolves and reflects light at various angles, which works as a deterrent because it irritates the birds.

The trail was undertaken at a site in Liverpool, with a high pigeon it was an overcast day in November, and although the sun only showed its head a few times, the device was sufficiently successful for Network to agree a 3 month UK trial in Spring, of which Mark will be installing a few at this site and monitoring its success.
